"TIMBER FROM ILLINOIS"
Timber is doing great. He earned his Canine Good Citizen in November. Waiting on that certificate to arrive. I had to get him registered with the AKC so whatever titles he earns will go on his permanent papers. He’s doing well with scent and search work. His obedience is great. Still working with the same trainer but we will go to some different classes next year. He’s been a great dog so far. We love him and spoil him rotten. It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a dog as much as I do Timber.
REMUS FROM SALTSPRING ISLAND
Hey Heather!
Just sending some pics of Remus, he's getting big! And is the best family dog we could ever ask for! A little mischievous and is getting out of his rock eating phase :p
Hope you're all doing well and had a good Christmas and Happy new year :)

SHADE (FROM PORT ALBERNI AND HER LITTLE "BROTHER" REMUS FROM SALTSPRING ISLAND.
Hard to believe it was over 9 years ago that I met you, Heather. I remember standing out in your backyard while it was snowing, and then Slade hooked his snout through my Mom's purse handle and off he went...little thief! Thank you so much for bringing such a beautiful girl into my life, she is such a love and means the absolute world to me.

LETTER FROM EINSTEIN .....(DANNY X SIR PUP)
OCTOBER 2017
Dear Aunty Heather and Uncle Doug,
I thought you might like to know that I'm adjusting well to my new home.
Apparently I am such a smart puppers, that I am being called Einstein. Although I keep hearing that I might be a little Shadow.
I am so clever, I know how to go pee when I'm told to (seems like Mom and Dad prefer that when it's the middle of the night). I only had 2 accidents which were definitely mom and dad's fault.
They have a fuzzy hissing thing. I like to make noises at it and it clearly doesn't want to play but I think I'm winning it over. We even slept in the same room last night. I'm so polite that I don't go near it's food.
I have been on 2 short car rides and I don't feel so good but I didn't get sick. Did you know there is a place with lots of sticks and a crazy amount of sand? There's lots of water too that tried to touch me but I'm quick so I got away before it got me. I think it got dad though.
Dad (mostly) is try to teach me stuff with treats. He's funny, I'm not so excited about treats just yet, but I sure like being talked to and when I hear "good boy" my tail wags so hard my bum wiggles.
I have a super big crate now, but I'm really not a big fan of it yet. I have toys too and my favourite is a rope thing. I have a rawhide thing too which I chew instead of the rug on the deck. I like the rug, it's a good place for a nap when mom's outside. You should see the huge bed I have. I like to sprawl out on it. I think I know what "lay down" means, either that or it's pure coincidence that I flop on my side (I hear that when it's night time). After I flop on my side I pop my head up to see what will happen next.
Mom and Dad said to tell you "thank you both for getting me off to such a healthy happy start". They seem to think I'm pretty awesome.
I will send pictures soon!
Licks and bum-waggles,
Einstein
