Guardian     homes

Many times we have sold a puppy or older dog that we really wanted to keep for our breeding program, but knew we could not give it the amount of time as we want because we were already working with a couple of younger dogs.

We want all our dogs in family homes to insure they all get as much special family time as possible.

Guardian homes can be a great opportunity for the dog, the new family and us.

The dog gets a family of her own, the family gets a great dog, and we can continue our breeding program with her in it..

After the contract is completed (max of 4 litters....may only be 1 or 2) the dog will be spayed, then she belongs to the Guardian family forever.

All testing and breeding related expenses are paid for by us but the Guardian family may be asked to take the female to the vets for these tests etc.

The family is
responsible for normal ownership costs like food, training classes, medical bills etc.

When the puppy reaches adulthood and passes all of her testing we arrange for her to be bred to a suitable stud. About a week before she is due to have her puppies she comes to stay with us so we can keep a close eye on her and be there to assist with he birthing process.  She will stay with us for about 7 weeks and then go home to her family.

Our ideal Guardian home would be within reasonable travel distance from us. However sometimes a family would like to have the pups born at their home so we can make different arrangements. There is a contract to sign, everything is explained in this contract.

If you are interested in these programs please let us know.
